Having A Great Time...
Wish I Was Here!
Page Forty-Three... a Special Page... in a Continuing Series...
Let Us Not Forget...
September 11, 2001
was a day that will live in history.
It was a day of horror, terror
and unspeakable devastation.
But it was also a day of undying hope, pride, patriotism, and unbelievable heroism.
This Page is dedicated to the victims,
their families and the heroes
who attempted to save them.
It is also a tribute of thanks to those
who did what they could,
even if it was just stopping to say a little prayer.
New York City Skyline before the attack on September 11, 2001.
The second of two blasts
that will change that picture forever...
The New York City Skyline
burns behind the Statue of Liberty.
Some of the victims made it out alive...
saved by the heroic efforts of the New York Fire and Police Departments.
Some lost their lives during the attack...
and others while trying to save them.
Everywhere...
there was disbelief...
confusion...
chaos.
Survivors
desperately searched
for their way back home.
Families frantically awaited
word from loved ones.
The devastation was beyond our belief...
The seemingly endless search
for victims continues...
The search is exhausting.
Hope is dwindling...
Still...
volunteers from
every State...
from all walks of life...
keep coming
to offer help.
No one remains untouched by this tragedy...
The President of Israel donates blood...
Americans on the street stop for a moment of silence...
All ages, faiths, and countries
send us their support and prayers...
Through it all...
We, the people of
The United States of America,
remain free and strong...
There is nothing
that will ever take that away.
God Bless America!
Dedication
This Page is dedicated to all the victims of the worst tragedy the United States has ever known.
To the families of the victims
and those they left behind.
To the Firefighters, Police, Medical Personnel,
and all the volunteers who came to their rescue.
To the families who lost their loved ones,
that they may know that their lives and efforts will never be forgotten.
And to all the people of the world
who have sent their support and prayers.
To the best of my ability,
I have given credit to each photographer
that captured this horror forever on film,
so that we may all see and feel
the grief of this terrible tragedy.
If I have mistakenly credited the wrong
photographer on any of these pictures,
please let me know.
Please do not take any pictures from this Page
without crediting the respective photographers.
September, 2001.
Thank you.
